Aliens vs. Predator comic question.
I have a question. I'm a huge fan of the original Aliens vs. Predator comic that started the AVPs. Now, I dislike Alien3 they still seem set on that "taking features from the host" thing in Aliens. But the original comic predates Alien3, so the Aliens birthed from different animals such as Rhynths, or types of monkeys, birds, and snakes yet they come out as the Aliens we know and love.
Or in the AVP: War comic, they come to a Xeno consumed planet, why is this planet full of human-spawned Xenos on an Alien planet

If the AVP Comics Series can still be considered canon how do you explain this? Did the Predators alter their DNA or something? Is there any explanation?
