Wait, she's a female naturally? Is that really necessary?!--LastJedi1515 (talk) 22:17, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • I know where that's from! It's in the 20th Anniversary Alien DVD which has a really cool menu, including an Easter Egg of sorts that lets you see their 'secret files'. Apparently Ridley Scott wrote out detailed backstories for each character. Maybe there's a lot of transgendered people in the future! I think 'ethnicity' is unnecessary. Ripley was born on the moon, doesn't that make her a "Lunar-United American"? While we're at it, "African-American" doesn't make much sense either if you're born on Acheron or some other colony.----CadmiumX99 03:26, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

Ripley Disambiguation Page[]

Since there is three Ripley articles (Original, Synthetic, and Number 8) on this wiki, would anyone find a disambiguation page helpfull or redundent? Spikeygod69 22:13, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Protect Ellen Ripley![]

Can somebody please protect this article?! She's the main character of the Alien franchise, for cryin' out loud!--LastJedi1515 (talk) 22:21, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Sweep[]

I am planning to completely rewrite a lot of the article. But first, I must ask you which quote we should use at the top of the article. Currently, it's "I don't know which species is worse, Burke. You don't see them fucking each other over a goddamn percentage." I'm just wondering if we could consider our options:

  • "Get away from her you bitch!"
  • "Goddamn it, that's not all! Because of one of those things gets down here then that will be all! And all this - this bullshit that you think is so important, you can just kiss all that goodbye!"

Those are some pretty epic quotes that were on my mind that the moment. --{{subst:User:RoyboyX/Sig}} 14:56, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

I like the second quote better. The current quote would be more apropriate for Burke's article. Spikeygod69 16:07, August 7, 2010 (UTC)

The quote for the Burke article could be (after the Dropship crashes!) "Why don't we build a fire, sing some songs?" :D But seriously, those are good quote ideas, let's add some more to choose from--hey what about "She'll breed---you'll die" though I guess that's better for the Ripley 8 article. Not sure how to explain this, but this article might be a little too comprehensive. I think we could tighten it up even more by focusing on the things directly affecting Ripley and ignoring as much of the non-Ripley details as much as possible. At the moment it still kind of reads like a general summary of the events rather than a biography of Ellen Ripley. Hope that was helpful. :)---CadmiumX99 02:36, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Admin Account Hacked[]

Hi guys

I haven't been on Xenopedia for a long time. I founded this Wiki, and it's great to see how it's grown. I thought I should warn you that this account has been hacked (hence the sudden activity) and that since the current user has been granted administrator status you may want to check their credentials.

- CJ Foote (Colonial-marine32)

ps.

I know that a lot of people won't believe me, and I don't want to pick a fight, so I won't check any replies to this message. It's up to you guys. By the way, check out Wookiepedia's main page the same week that Xenopedia was created and compare the layouts (I ripped off the design). I hope that gives me at least a little credibility.

Change the quote to "Get away from her you bitch!"

Appereances[]

I think we don't need both Aliens: Colonial Marines and Stasis Interrupted mentioned in appereances since Stasis Interrupted is just a DLC for Aliens: Colonial Marines Madpredator (talk) (Contribs)

Please sing your posts.
I've altered the appearances section to be more logical now.--Leigh Burne (talk) (Contribs) 08:16, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

Ripley's height is wrong[]

Sigourney Weaver is either 5' 11" (1.80 m) (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000244/) or 5' 11½" (1.82 m) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigourney_Weaver), so Ripley would naturally be the same height, wouldn't she? I'm not sure which, but I think we can tell she's taller than 5' 7" (1.70 m).

Mr. Hammond, after careful consideration, I've decided NOT to endorse your park! 20:27, March 13, 2014 (UTC)Alan S. Grant

The height in the article comes from her crew dossier seen in Aliens, so 5' 7" Ripley in-universe height.--Toa Quarax (Talk) (Contribs) 21:46, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
