Um, I seem to remember the PredAlian only reproduced in this fashion once it reached the maternity ward in the hospital. The reason why they burst from the stomach should be horrifyingly obvious. It's spelt "PredAlien", not Alian. Sounds more like a Human name.

- It is unknown why these Xenomorph young are spawning from stomachs, but it could be concluded that the PredAlien Queen is mutated, creating mutated Xenomorphs.
- The Xenomorphs may have been sent directly to the stomach because the PredAlien Queen is not fully a Queen or has limited abilities, meaning it needs to send its young to the stomach to feed off Human Young for energy and strength.
Moved here since the Brothers Strause explain most of it. This might be the nastiest thing a xenomorph's ever done!! I really hated the Predalien for it and even the Bros just a wee bit.

In Aliens, probably due to an error, when Ripley is having the dream when being visited by Burke, she pulls up her gown and teh Chestburster is mistakenly coming from her stomach, when other characters like the female who was cocooned in the Colony Hive had the Chestburster come from their chest. In the third film teh Chestburster emerged from her chest so this may be an error or part of Ripley's dream. (moved from article)

- If you watch closly the Predalien didnt turn the homeless woman into a bellyburster, it just broke her neck... The waitress was Pregnant... So it seems that the Predalien or any young Queen needs to implant Pregnant women, it uses human babies for somthing.
Is it possible that instead of the Human baby being eaten those embroyes after going into the womans belly and then furter into the Haman Babys heart, the Emboryes actuly convert the baby into themselfs?
Another scary thing to think about is if you had notice, every Pregnant Woman had five belly bursters for one Baby... Human Women (in real life) are starting to have mulitple more often, even having quads isnt that rare anymore. If a young Queen got its hands on a Human Woman Pregnant with Quads wouldnt that mean that Woman would end up haveing 20 Belly Bursters in her belly?!
Male Predalien
I've seen that garbage about the Predalien being a "Young Queen" running around. Well it's not true. The Predalien wouldn't just molt into a normal queen, it'd be a Predqueen which is obviously non-canon. - The quotes I included come from the extras on the AVPR Unrated Special Edition DVD, but don't take my word for it everybody see for yourself. Personally I don't think it matters how whether they call a "she" or a "he". Bellybursters in comic
Actualy there is a similiar example in one of the AvP franchise comic. Alien: Labirynth. Scientist there descibes how he spent a time in alien hive attacked by some kind of a mould. Aliens somehow impregnated a woman there(or she was already pregnant) and things he described as hybrids to be used as a host bursted out of her belly. Only to die shortly after. Then aliens attempted to force him to mate with his mother propably to create more hybrid bellybursters. The comic is from 1993 soo its possible that it served as an inspiration for the bellybursters.
