Fate of the Aurora[]

I don't know if this is the best place to comment this, but I can't think of a better place right now.

Since we know next to nothing about cancelled content for AVP2 (or, at least, I can't find anything about that topic), I suspect that the fact that we don't know anything about the fate of the Aurora is because it was something meant to be explored in future expansion packs, just like the fall of Pod 5 was explained in Primal Hunt.

Also, we don't know how the Iron Bears left the planet LV-1201 and, yes, we know for a fact that they did as it's confirmed in the last log of the predator campaign in the base game (Dunya leading the kidnapping of several scientists). This leads me to believe that this two unanswered questions could answer each other. Meaning that at some point the Iron Bears seized the Aurora.

However, thanks to Blaney's logs from the first marine level, Unwelcomed Guests, the Iron Bears never attempted a rescue to the POC as Blaney and the last survivors were still waiting for them in vain when the marines finally showed up. On the other hand, it would be logical to asume that some people at the POC, amongst the chaos of the Incident, would attempt to use the Aurora to escape the planet.

The ship then might have crashed to another region of the planet after being boarded by xenomorphs (like what happened to Bug Stomper, one of the dropships from 1986's Aliens). Later, the Iron Bears could have recovered the not-so-damaged ship and repair it while hidding its existence to everyone else, keeping the ship as a "life insurance" in case the needed to evacuate their forces (without having to share it with Eisenberg and company) and using it after the events of the base game to leave the planet.

I know this is technically a fan-theory and maybe it shouldn't be here but, as I said, I couldn't think of a better place. Then again, this is the talk section and I don't think I'm hurting anyone by writing this here.

If any developer ever sees this (or if anyone knows them), it would be nice to know the real answer.
