Links to the movies, books, comics, etc. in which a character appears are listed under the "Appearances" heading. A complete list of characters should be included in the main article (Example: Predator (film)--CadmiumX99 02:19, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
One "F"
Edit
I'm positive Dutch and his brother the Detective's last name is spelled with one "f".---CadmiumX99 02:11, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
- PS. Google "Dutch Schaefer" or even "Dutch Schaeffer". It's spelled with one "f" in the comics, the Wikipedia entry, and the Hot Toys action figures, which are officially licensed by 20th Century Fox. Pretty sure the novel and script are the same. Anyone have a copy?----CadmiumX99 21:01, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Suggested page move to Alan Schaefer
Edit
What does everybody think? For the record, I'm against it. "Dutch" is how we know the character, like Rebecca "Newt" Jorden, Jorge "Poncho" Ramirez and Teresa "Tequila" Aquila. I think it makes more sense to include the nickname, especially if that's how we know the character best.---CadmiumX99 18:59, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
I agree completely with Cadmium. Alan is known as Dutch throughout the entire movie, and it is the name most fans know him as. --- The Matriarch 12:51, June 24, 2012
Dutch's brother.
Edit
In the "disappearance" section, was the part about Dutch having a brother that encountered the predator true or false? I don't recall hearing of such so either its a book I have not read yet or fanfiction, if its the former, a cited source is needed but if its the latter, it needs removal asap.
Also even know Isabel mentioned the events of the first film, there is no proof as far as I know that Dutch and Isabel talked directly to each other as she just says something about reading about his debriefing, I will need to rewatch predators to hear what she says again. - Lest I checked Dutch's brother was the primary protagonist of the first to predator books, Concrete Jungle and Cold War I think . . . I think both were also adapted into comics. I own all of them but I am going to have to dig them out . . . I should be able to verify soon enough . . . one second . . . eeeeeeyup . . . Dutch's brother is the protagonist of both books, and by extension the comic adaptions of the books (or the books might be an adaption of the comics . . . not sure) ralok (talk) (Contribs) 03:32, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
- Interesting, I haven't read as much predator material as alien ones, so I wasn't sure if the info on the page was real or not. I got to say though, that family must have bad luck. I think I actually have cold war and concrete jungle so I must have forgotten to read them or something, If I do have them I think I will make a start on reading it soon.
