Scout,[4] also known as the Lost Hunter,[1] was a Yautja of a rare subspecies[2] encountered by Mike Harrigan aboard the Yautja Mother Ship hidden beneath Los Angeles in 1997. He was a member of the Los Angeles hunting party.

Biography[]

Scout was born on a harsh isolated island on Yautja Prime. This island is known for unique hunters specialized in stealth and long range kills as a means of surviving the island's dangerous wildlife.

Scout and his clanmates engaged Harrigan aboard their ship after he defeated the City Hunter in a hand-to-hand duel. Knowing that Harrigan had won an honorable battle, they forgave him, collecting the body of the City Hunter while the group's leader, Greyback, honored the detective with an antique flintlock pistol. Harrigan escaped the ship before Scout and the other Predators left Earth, taking the City Hunter's body with them.

Trivia[]

  • Scout's bio-helmet is of the same design as the Jungle Hunter's; in fact, it is likely the exact same prop, as elements of the Jungle Hunter costume from Predator were reused for several of the other Predators seen at the end of Predator 2.
  • Scout's subspecies was invented by NECA for their Ultimate Scout Predator bio, with Scout originally having been a normal Yautja whose face was never seen unmasked.
  • While the Predator featured in the Devastation DLC for the video game Call of Duty: Ghosts is ostensibly based on the Jungle Hunter from the first film, it also includes elements of Scout in its design, notably its serrated shoulder armor.
