The Smith & Wesson Model 39 was a privately owned sidearm used by PFC Vasquez, mostly likely used as a backup gun to her standard issue sidearm.

Use in Aliens Edit

Vasquez uses the M39 while in the vents, it proved effective against a Warrior at close range but the splash back of acid hit her foot in the process. It was a 9x19mm semi-automatic, with a rather small 8 round magazine.

In the 2013 video game Aliens: Colonial Marines this handgun served as model for the Colonial Marine Service Pistol as well as Vasquez's Pistol, with some modifications.
