Ruiz was a UD-4L Cheyenne Dropship pilot callsign Raider 6-8 for the United States Colonial Marine Corps part of the second Hadley's Hope detachment.
He made a minor appearance in Aliens: Colonial Marines accompanying Corporal Hicks, Private O'Neal, and Corporal Winter. Ruiz's dropship was shot down by the third AA gun after going ahead of Lisa Reid. He was saved by Winter, O'Neal and Hicks, and was evacuated to Reid's dropship, however in the next level he is not seen among the team afterwards.
