"The creature was a nightmare hybrid of a bug and the XTs from the crash site. Maybe that's why the XTs were after us. We allowed this monster to be born. We'd let it out into the world. Maybe it was against their religion..."
Glass regarding the Ryushi Predalien (from Aliens vs. Predator: Duel)

The Ryushi Predalien was a Xenomorph born from an unknown Yautja on the planet of Ryushi.

Characteristics and Traits[]

Unlike most Predaliens, the Ryushi Predalien was jet black in coloration, its "Dreadlocks" spiking out in the back of its head instead of hanging down, hidden underneath a crest. Instead of having four mandibles, it only had two on its bottom jaw.

The creature was just as dangerous and aggressive as other Predaliens, and it managed to overpower the experienced Leader Light-Stepper with ease.

Biography[]

Birth[]

AVPDChestburster

The Predalien Chestburster.

At some point, the Yautja Leader Light-Stepper led a hunting party that orbited the planet of Ryushi, for an initiation hunt. However, unknown events would see their Mother Ship crash on the planet. The hunters subsequently left their ship, abandoning the imprisoned Queen within, but not before one of them was subdued by a Facehugger.

Soon, a platoon of Colonial Marines led by Captain Glass began investigating the planet after intercepting a distress signal sent by the Predators. After encountering their ship, they entered it and took the body of the infected Yautja, before subsequently being attacked by Xenomorphs and Predators alike.

The Marines managed to escape the carnage and retreated to Machiko Noguchi's old headquarters, taking the unconscious Predator with them. After attempting to contact their ship, the Brilliant for a quick extraction. A Chestburster suddenly erupted from the Predator, spawning the Predalien.

The creature promptly escaped underneath a Marine vehicle as the platoon were suddenly ambushed by Light-Stepper and his clan. Glass and his surviving soldiers fled again, this time to the destroyed wreckage of Prosperity Wells, unaware that the infant creature had hitched a ride with them.

Rampage and Death[]

"Together, we'd taken out an enemy that would have killed us both, and maybe at that moment we came to some kind of understanding."
Glass (from Aliens vs. Predator: Duel)

The Predalien killing Glass' men.

Glass and his men established a defensive perimeter within the ruins of the town, placing mines all on the exposed side. Whilst busy preparing for the Predator's arrival, the Predalien emerged from behind them and attacked them. The men opened fire and the Predalien escaped, before the group were then attacked by Light-Stepper's clan. Glass detonated the perimeter mines and killed two of the remaining Yautja, leaving only Light-Stepper alive. Eventually, Glass also found himself the sole survivor of his platoon, and was subsequently trapped between Light-Stepper and the Predalien.

A battle ensued between the two creatures, though the Predalien promptly gained the upper hand. Just as it was about to kill the young Leader, Glass distracted it from behind by striking it with his Pulse Rifle, giving Light-Stepper enough time to kill the abomination and end its rampancy.

Trivia[]

  • As is the case with many Predaliens, the Ryushi Predalien is incorrectly referred to as a hybrid.
  • The Ryushi Predalien was the first official Predalien to appear in the Alien vs. Predator franchise.
