Otter Effects Ltd.[1] is a member of the British Special Effects Guild lead by Terry Reed that has provided props for numerous films,[2] including Superman (1978),[3] Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Goldeneye (1995), Mission: Impossible (1996), The Fifth Element (1997), Titanic (1997), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), Lost in Space (1998), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001).[2]

Otter Effects created the "High-tech computers, aiming and sighting devices and set dressing." for Aliens.[3] Additionally, Reed made the Motion Tracker props used in both the film[4] and the 1995 book Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual, the latter of which was made by Reed for Lawrence Nathan of Fiction & Fantasy Models in early 1990.[5]
