Michael Fassbender (born April 2, 1977) is a German-Irish actor who played David in the 2012 film Prometheus. He is also set to play Walter in the 2017 film Alien: Covenant, as well as reprising his role as David. Other notable films Fassbender has appeared in include 300 (2006), Inglorious Basterds (2009), X-Men: First Class (2011) and 12 Years a Slave (2013).
Fassbender has been nominated for a Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (for 12 Years a Slave), as well as two Golden Globes and three BAFTAs. For his role in Prometheus, he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor.
