Kenji is the brother of Tomiko and a researcher at the Weyland-Yutani facility on LV-1201 around 2230.
Biographical information[]
The son of an Assemblyman, Kenji was stationed on LV-1201 as a researcher focusing on human genetic modification using convicts. One of the theories he proposed was that of a hive memory.[1] Dr. Eisenberg considered his research of great importance, and rejected his request to be transferred to Gateway Station. Sometime between August 21 and October 9, he was mysteriously killed. New personnel was hired to fill the gap. Dr. Maurita's death was the subject of intense speculation by W-Y staff on LV-1201, prompting General Rykov to order all employees to cease spreading ‘gossip’ and ‘rumors‘.[2]The report, personally signed by Dr. Eisenberg, stated that his death was an accident. His sister Tomiko suspected otherwise, and started working on LV-1201 to gather proof[3].
Trivia[]
- It is hinted at several times that Kenji and Tomiko are, in fact, corporate spies. In the aforementioned discussion overheard by Harrison, it is remarked that 'spies are like fleas'[4]. In addition, a final message after completing the Marine campaign cryptically states: ‘the mule has been acquired. Package is en route'[5], possibly referring to the disc that Harrison steals from the Pods for Tomiko.
