Laurence John Fishburne III (born July 30, 1961) is an American actor, playwright, director and producer who played Noland in the 2010 film Predators. He is perhaps best known for his role as Morpheus in the Matrix series (1999-2003). Other notable films Fishburne has appeared in include Apocalypse Now (1979), Event Horizon (1997), Mission: Impossible III (2006) and Man of Steel (2013).
Fishburne has won an Academy Award for Best Actor (for What's Love Got to Do with It) and two Emmys, and has been nominated for a Golden Globe.
