Lauchland Pelle is an American comic book artist who provided interior art for the comic Predator: Race War for Dark Horse Comics, completing the second half of the series after the unexplained departure of original artist Jordan Raskin.

Biography[]

Born in 1969, Pelle graduated from the High School of Art & Design in New York City in 1987.

Pelle appears to have had a somewhat limited career as a comics artist, mostly in the early 1990s.

In his other comics work, Pelle worked on two issues of the independent Personality Comics biographical series Baseball Sluggers and two issues of Personality's New Crew Illustrated Biogaphy focusing on Denise Crosby, who played Lt. Tasha Yar and on Johnathan Frakes, who played Commander William Riker on Star Trek The Next Generation. He also worked on an issue of Vamperotica, all in 1992. Pelle also worked on the adult-oriented indy comic Double Impact China & Jazz (Volume 2) #2, written by Ricky Carrelero during this period.

In 1993, Pelle received a page-long profile along with other industry artists of that year in the book Comic-Book Superstars by Don and Maggie Thompson.

He then drew an issue of Deathstroke The Terminator for DC Comics and a section of The Big Book of Freaks by Factoid Books both in 1994.

In 1998, Pelle provided illustrations for the prose paperback The Secrets of Success: Quotations by African-American Achievers by author Glenda R. Taylor.
