Fiorina 161 inmates

Deceased[1] as of July[2] 2179.

Portrayed by

Holt McCallany

Ted Gillas,[3] better known as Junior, was an inmate at the Fiorina "Fury" 161 Class C Work Correctional Unit, one of several who stayed behind after the facility was officially closed down by Weyland-Yutani. He was involved in battling a lone Xenomorph that was born in the prison in 2179.

A serial rapist, Junior was the ringleader in the rape attempt on Ellen Ripley. While he is presumed killed in the explosion and fire that claims several prisoners in the theatrical version of the film, in the Assembly Cut he sacrifices his life in order to lure the Xenomorph into a nuclear waste dump where it is then trapped by the other inmates.

Early lifeEdit

Junior was sent to Fiorina for committing "aggravated sexual assault; assault with a deadly weapon".[4]

Fiorina 161Edit

Little is known about Junior, except that he was one of the 25 prisoners on Fury 161 who converted to the religion the rest of the prisoners follow. He along with Gregor and another (possibly William) attempted to gang rape Ripley until Dillon intervened and "re-eductated" Junior by severely beating him with an iron rod. Junior is identifiable by the tear-drop tattoo under his right eye, and then after the beating Dillion gives him, he is identified by the large bandage on his head. In the theatrical version of Alien 3, Junior was simply killed in the explosion. In the 2003 Assembly Cut of the film, an entire sub-plot was restored which shows Junior redeem himself of his past sins when during the mayhem of the explosion, he goes to activate the sprinkers, and the alien cuts him off from the rest of the group. Junior then looks at Ripley with remorse, and proceeds to bait the alien to follow him into the waste container. After the alien chases Junior into the container, Ripley shuts the door behind them and we hear Junior's tortured screams from inside.

Personality and TraitsEdit

Junior was known to be difficult to control. His distinguishing mark was the teardrop tattoo in the corner of his eye.[4]

Junior's death scene was cut out from the theatrical release of Alien3.
