John Richardson.

John Richardson (born 1946) is an Academy Award-winning British special effects supervisor who served as special effects supervisor on the 1986 film Aliens. He is perhaps best known for his long association with the James Bond and Harry Potter franchsies. Other notable films Richardson has worked on include Battle of Britain (1969), The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Omen (1976), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Superman (1978), Cliffhanger (1993), Starship Troopers (1997), Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Men in Black II (2002).

For his work on Aliens, Richardson won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects (shared with Robert Skotak, Stan Winston and Suzanne M. Benson). In addition to this, he has won two BAFTAs and a Saturn Award, and has been nominated for a further five Academy Awards (Best Visual Effects for Cliffhanger, Starship Troopers, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II).
