Joel F. Naprstek is an American painter and comic book cover artist who provided art for the comics Aliens: Havoc and Predator: Homeworld for Dark Horse Comics.
Biography[]
A graduate of New York's School Of Visual Arts, Joel taught painting and illustration there for nine years, and currently teaches at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover, New Jersey.
Narpstek has been a freelance illustrator for over 25 years. His clients have included NBC, CBS, Time Inc., McGraw-Hill, Business Week, Financial World, Fortune, and numerous ad agencies.
In the comics and pulp art fields, he has painted pulp-style covers for DC Comics, Marvel, Dark Horse, Pulp Adventures and other publishers.
A car racing enthusiast, Joel paints classic auto racing scenes, as well as comics and pulp heroes like Batman, Zorro and The Spider.
