Detective Jerry Lambert, nicknamed "The Lone Ranger", was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, transferred (at his own request) from Rampart Station to Mike Harrigan's team at Metro Command during the gang wars of 1997. The team's investigation of severe gang violence led them to cross paths with that of a Predator in the city hunting the same gangs for sport.

Lambert's motives for requesting a transfer to such a violent precinct initially concerned Harrigan, who feared the young officer was merely seeking a reputation and fame, but he later proved to be a good cop and valuable part of the team.

BiographyEdit

Jerry Lambert transferred from Rampart Station where he was known as "The Lone Ranger" to Metro Command where he is placed under Harrigan's command, he is told by the latter that they work as a team and don't tolerate people going off on their own. He later does some surveillance work for harrigan after the latter suspects Peter Keyes of being involved in the case somehow.

Lambert is killed during a battle between himself, Leona, the City Hunter and several gang members while on the subway. Lambert dies heroically, after firing three magazines at the City Hunter to no affect. Jerry, out of ammo, throws his lucky golf ball at City. Finally, Jerry picks up a large Bowie knife that belonged to one of the fallen gang-members and charges at City Hunter. The City Hunter is victorious. He is last seen having his head and spine being removed.

Personality & TraitsEdit

He is a comedic member of the team often telling bad jokes with Leona. He is an obnoxious and flamboyant individual, constantly smiling and joking around. Despite his childlike demeanor he is a serious professional and when things get serious he is ready to make sacrifices and to get the job done.

Lambert is also referred to as the Lone Ranger back in his old station and was believed be trying to make a name for himself. He already has a reputation for being reckless and causing fellow officers to get injured because of his gung-ho attitude when he joins Harrigan's team at Metro Command. This is shown during his confrontation with Detective Leona Cantrell when she reveals the fact that she knows of his past exploits and threatens to remove his balls.

Jerry Lambert carried a SIG-Sauer P226 with laser sight as his primary weapon, a lucky golf ball and high-tech surveillance equipment.

Behind the ScenesEdit

Lambert is played by Bill Paxton who also portrayed the colonial marine Hudson in Aliens. Paxton also made an appearance in The Terminator (also directed by James Cameron) as a street punk who is killed by the Terminator for his clothes. Bill Paxton holds the dubious record as the only actor to be killed by an Alien, Predator and Terminator. In 2004, when Alien vs. Predator was released, actor Lance Henricksen matched this record.

Rumor has it that as Harrigan (played by Danny Glover) follows the Predator in the subway and passes Lamberts body, Bill Paxton's corpse apparently gives a 'thumbs up'.
