Illegal Aliens is a one-shot comic book that was published by Eclipse Comics in September 1992. Published in black and white, the story was written by Clint McElroy and Mark Near, illustrated by Bill Maus, inked by Bob Hanon and edited by Dave Hughes, with cover art by Maus and Hanon. The tongue-in-cheek comic pits various classic movie horror monsters, led by Dracula, against an Alien and a Predator that have come to Earth and are stealing their limelight in the movie business.

As Dark Horse Comics had no involvement with Illegal Aliens (and do not hold the rights to it), it is not considered a part of the company's Aliens/Predator comics lines and has never been collected in any form with Dark Horse releases.

Publisher's Summary

Earth's classic monsters are tired of being shown up by the modern alien monsters. Not only are these aliens invading earth, they're doing so illegally, and they're taking jobs away from the classic monsters who have devoted their lives to striking terror into the hearts of mortals. See the Frankenstein monster, Dracula, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and Godzilla lead a crusade of classic monsters in an all out battle for the Earth. When an illegal alien comes in to steal the horror action, everyone gets into the fun.

Reprint History

Illegal Aliens has never been collected or reissued.

Behind the Scenes

Illegal Aliens is notably one of only six black and white Alien comics that have never been reprinted in color, the others being Aliens: Countdown, Aliens: 45 Seconds, Aliens: Elder Gods, Aliens: Once in a Lifetime and the non-Dark Horse comic Do Aliens Dream?.

Trivia

  • Illegal Aliens is not technically a part of the Aliens/Predator crossover comic book franchise as Dark Horse had no involvement whatsoever with its publication; it was produced solely by Eclipse.
