Idris Elba (December 6, 1972) is a British actor most well known for his role as Stringer Bell on the critically-acclaimed HBO television series The Wire. He has also been featured in the comic-book adaption film Thor, Rock'n'Rolla, 28 Weeks Later, and American Gangster.
In Prometheus, Elba plays a character called Captain Janek.
