The HIM-112 Lancer is a multi-stage, multi-warhead designed to engage craft up to Mesopause. When used against a constellation of reentry vehicles or dropships, the Lancer can assign its ten maneuvering warheads to individual targets, or use them all against a single target in the case of re-entering starships.
An unjammable datalink with the Lancer's ground tracking station ensures high accuracy and ECCM. So fast and effective is the automatic systems used to control Lancer launches that it is a common joke among Marines assigned to aerospace defense companies their only job is to make some coffee and watch the show.
HIM-112 Lancer systems are part of the command-level support assets of a Marine Assault Unit.
