- "Mahoney, thank God. We got jumped. Looters."
- ―Francis (from Alien: Isolation)
While himself, Peterson and 2 others were exploring the Seegson Synthetics facility, they found themselves trapped by an elevator malfunction. To make matters worse, they also lose radio contact with Mahoney and the others.
Francis and his group were soon ambushed by another group of looters. After a brief firefight, Francis and his team managed to gain the upper hand and killed the looters, although they lost a member of their team in the process.
Shortly afterward, Ripley found herself in the facility with Francis and the others. While sneaking past the group, she overheard Peterson panicking following the ambush, with Francis having to calm him down. He eventually managed to get into contact with Mahoney, who was in the upper levels of Seegson Synthetics. They were informed by Mahoney that they could power up the elevator with the help of a Working Joe. Peterson immediately reacted angrily to the suggestion, asking Mahoney if he was insane. Francis concurred, mentioning how the Joes had started attacking people. Mahoney explained that the synthetics are friendly unless someone does something unauthorized. Francis seemingly agreed to the suggestion, but after hanging up, he called Mahoney an "asshole".
Shortly afterward, the Drone appeared from the ventilation shaft above the group. It dropped down and landed on Peterson and the third survivor, dragging them aside and swiftly killing them before turning to face Francis. Francis, frozen in fear, hesitated for a brief moment before firing a single shot at the Drone as it immediately seizes him and takes him into the vents.
It can be assumed that, like many other residents of Sevastopol, the Xenomorph took Francis into the Reactor Core's Hive, where he was cocooned and impregnated with a Chestburster, dying when the creature inside him reached maturity and hatched from his chest.
Personality and traits
Francis was a capable and composed survivor; he attempted to keep the group calm following the shootout in Seegson Synthetics. He did however express annoyance when Mahoney suggested powering up the elevator with the help of a requisitions android, and when Peterson suggested the group head to the Colonial Marshal Bureau for shelter, citing Waits' attempts at killing the Xenomorph using explosives as his reason.
