San Drad, California is a fictional city located in the United States. Before the Xenomorph infestation, it had become the largest city on the West Coast.
Story[]
While the origin of the city is unknown, its development as an advanced human colony was possible thanks to the management of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation containing a more civilized urban area and warehouses which served as a cargo bay. A research laboratory facility located in the city outskirts was used by General Bush of the United States Colonial Marines Corps as part of a military breeding program using Xenomorph specimens. The city was eventually destroyed by the combined efforts of colonial marines Dutch Schaefer, Linn Kurosawa, and two Yautjas by launching a military ship transport on orbital, wiping out the Xenomorphs from Earth.
Trivia[]
- San Drad resembles Hadley's Hope from Aliens. Both colonies were managed by Weyland-Yutani corporation, even both locations share a very similar architecture and technology, both were infested by Xenomorphs and destroyed with a nuclear explosion.
- Although the date when the game takes place has never been officially confirmed, it's highly likely that the plot is set about the year 2192 or later. This can be assumed due to the events depicted in the game seem to resemble the Xenomorph infestation on Earth depicted in the 1988 Dark Horse comic book series Aliens: Outbreak.
