An Infectoid is a living creature infected by unknown means to defend the Xenomorphs' hives. Instead of being sedated and glued to the Hive's walls, they run freely, acting in a zombie-like state and attacking nearby intruders. If a Yautja is infected, it will become insane and much more hyper-aggressive than a human Infectoid.
Characteristics[]
The Infectoids typically have discolored blue skin, this may be because the skin has turned pale, such as what happens to a corpse after periods of time. Even Predators showed such coloration in their skin. Their skin was often bloated with bulbous growths and would start to decay, leaving Infectoids looking emaciated and rotting with sunken facial features.
However, despite their appearance, Infectoids are incredibly dangerous. Aside from biting and clawing at any intruders they detect, the Infectoids are capable of effectively using weaponry, from blunt objects and blades to complex firearms.
The Infectoids sometimes bore Chestbursters inside them that would erupt out and attack prey, though this would not kill the Infectoid. It also seems that Infectoids don't have to use their eyes to see, as several Infectoids have been observed with their heads drooped over limp while attacking.
