Nina Taylor[3] was an executive administrator[4] and lawyer for the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. In 2137, when the flight recorder unit of the USCSS Nostromo was recovered and taken to Sevastopol Station, she was part of the small team sent to recover the device. She was subsequently involved in the Xenomorph incident that destroyed the station.

Taylor was killed by an explosion while trying to stop the Anesidora's reactor from overloading and blowing up Sevastopol.

Biography[]

Taylor was part of a small team onboard the Torrens who were sent to Sevastopol Station to retrieve the flight recorder unit that was onboard the USCSS Nostromo. She was initially sent by Weyland-Yutani to retrieve the Xenomorph onboard Sevastopol, but she dropped her mission when she realized just how dangerous the Xenomorphs were.

She became injured on the trip over to Sevastopol and she remained injured until she was healed by Amanda Ripley. She was later kidnapped by Henry Marlow, the captain of the Anesidora, who planned to blow his ship up in order to destroy the station, wiping out the Xenomorphs onboard. Taylor knocked out Marlow with a wrench whilst he and Ripley were arguing about not blowing up the Anesidora. She and Ripley then worked together to stop the Anesidora's core from overloading and destroying the ship. They weren't successful as the Anesidora's core backfired on them and overloaded. Taylor was killed when a series of resulting explosions flung her into a glass window, but Ripley managed to escape. The Anesidora was destroyed soon after.

Personality and Traits[]

Unlike the typical Weyland-Yutani employee that have previously always been depicted as an antagonist trying to capture the Xenomorph at any cost, Taylor drops her mission as soon as she realizes how dangerous the Aliens are.

Behind the scenes[]

Taylor was first revealed January 7, 2014, when a promotional photo of her was released.[5]
