Alien Anthology is a 2016 100-card trading card set based on the films of the Alien franchise, published by Upper Deck Entertainment.
Overview[]
The cards are arranged into four main subsets:
- 25 Alien cards.
- 25 Aliens cards.
- 25 Alien3 cards.
- 25 Alien Resurrection cards.
As opposed to standard film capture images, the cards feature new artwork by various artists based on key scenes from the film series. Artists who contributed were Melike Acar, Jason Adams, Mitch Ballard, Federico Blee, Benjo Camay, Neil Camera, Luiz Campelo, Patricio Carrasco, Marco Carrillo, Justin Castaneda, Jason Crosby, J. J. Dzialowski, Harold Edge, Mauro Fodra, Allen Geneta, Abdul Ghofur, Matt Glebe, Mick Glebe, Daniel Gorman, Charles Hall, John Haun, Elvin Hernandez, David Hindelang, Jade Isaig, Rustico Limosinero, Julian Lytle, Adriana Melo, Barush Merling, Rich Molinelli, Nathan Ohlendorf, Fabian Quintero, Ken Racho, Jezreel Rojales, Tim Shay, Bryan "SilverBaX" Sheppard, Anthony Tan, Ron Tan, Lydi Li Tubillara and George Vega.[1]
Chase cards[]
To coincide with the Alien Anthology trading cards, Upper Deck Entertainment also published several sets of limited edition chase cards, including:
- 12 "Character Bio" cards, featuring biographies for select characters; included in 1 out of every 8 packs.[2]
- 10 "Weyland-Yutani Propaganda Poster" cards, featuring mock company propaganda posters; included in 1 out of every 8 packs.[2]
- 10 "Legendary Encounters Art" cards, featuring artwork from the Legendary Encounters game; included in 1 out of every 8 packs.[2]
- 15 "Space Marine Dog Tag" cards, which include metal Colonial Marine dog tags for various characters; included in 1 out of every 20 packs.[2]
- 15 "Space Marine Dog Tag Autograph" cards, which include metal Colonial Marine dog tags for various characters along with a signature.[1]
- 16 "Actor Autograph" cards, featuring the autographs of various actors who have appeared in the series.
- 15 "Dual Actor Autograph" cards, featuring two autographs per card.
- 10 "Legendary Game Art Autograph" cards, featuring the autograophs of various artists who worked on the Legendary Encounters game.[1]
- 38 "Sketch" cards, unique, one-off sketches of other cards by various artists.
