Aliens: Lovesick is a one-shot comic book that was first published by Dark Horse Comics in December 1996. It was written by Thierry Gagnon, Richard Forgues and Randy Stradley, illustrated by Forgues, colored by Cary Porter, lettered by Clem Robins, and edited by Stradley, Philip Amara and Ian Stude, with cover art by Forgues.
In Dark Horse's Aliens comics line, Aliens: Lovesick was preceded by Aliens: Lucky, and was followed by Aliens: Headhunters.
Publisher's Summary[]
Eleven-year-old Jimi has a crush on his older cousin Nancy, who's a pilot for creepy Dr. Dakien, who also has the hots for Nancy. Unbeknownst to Nancy, Dakien's not just creepy, he's completely mad, and Nancy's rejection has driven him off the deep end. He's killed himself to set in motion a plan to go after Nancy and Jimi! Between rescuing Jimi, staving off Dakien's cybernetic doppelgänger, and battling the Aliens Dakien has unleashed, there may not be enough Nancy to go around.

Aliens: Lovesick was eventually collected as part of Aliens Omnibus: Volume 5 in October 2008.
The comic was released digitally through Dark Horse Digital on July 10, 2013, reusing Richard Forgues's cover art, recolored by Cary Porter.
Marvel Comics[]
Following Marvel Comics' acquisition of the rights to Alien comic books, the comic was collected as part of Marvel's Aliens: The Original Years Volume 3 collection, alongside many other later Dark Horse stories. The collection was released on November 22, 2022.
Behind the Scenes[]
A rare Aliens comedic action/adventure story, Lovesick was one of only three Aliens comics published by Dark Horse in all of 1996, the others being the similarly comedic action one-shot Aliens: Mondo Heat and the more typical action/horror story Aliens: Lucky. Dark Horse would return to publish a full slate of Aliens limited series, one-shots and short stories in 1997.
