Alexander "Alex" Thomson, BSC (January 12, 1929 – June 14, 2007) was an English cinematographer who served as director of photography on the 1992 film Alien3. He replaced renowned cinematographer Jordan Cronenweth, who was forced to leave the production due to his increasingly severe Parkinson's disease. Other notable films Thomson worked on include Excalibur (1981), Legend (1985), Demolition Man (1993) and Hamlet (1996).
