Edward Boggs was an inmate at the Fiorina "Fury" 161 Class C Work Correctional Unit, one of several who stayed behind after the facility was officially closed down by Weyland-Yutani. He was killed by a lone Xenomorph that was born in the prison in 2179.

Boggs was slaughtered by the Xenomorph while surveying one of the prison's many disused areas, along with his friend Daniel Rains.

Biography

Early life

Boggs was sent to Fiorina 161 for committing "kidnapping, felonious assault".

Into the tunnels with Golic

He and Rains are both very vocal about not minding the dark tunnels, but they do firmly state that they feel uncomfortable around Golic, stating that he is crazy and smells bad. Dillon is the one to remind them that he is now one of the brothers as well. Boggs and Rains have no choice but to go with Golic. As the three are measuring the size of a large compartment, the candles they have lit to see in the dark start blowing out. A perplexed Rains goes back to light them again, but he doesn't come back.

Finding Rains and death

Boggs and Golic venture out to see what is happening after hearing his screams, though they arrive too late. The two of them find the bloody body and Boggs is subsequently lifted to the ceiling and bitten in the cranium by the Alien. His blood sprays all over Golic's face, who screams in terror and runs down the hallways. It was wrongly assumed by Superintendent Harold Andrews that Golic murdered Boggs and Rains.

Personality and Traits

Boggs was known for being hostile and dangerous. One of his distinguishing marks was the cross and snake tattoo on his forehead.

Trivia

• In the film, it is never particularly clear what Boggs, Rains and Golic are doing when they are attacked by the Runner, although it is suggested they are mapping an abandoned part of the facility. In the novelization, however, it is explained that they are foraging for overlooked provisions, left behind when the facility was shut down.
