Dr. Eisenberg is the head researcher in charge of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation's facility on planet LV-1201, almost half a century after the events of Aliens and Alien³.
In that time period, Weyland-Yutani had followed the flight telemetry of the derelict spacecraft found on LV-426 and discovered a world full of life and dotted with the ruins of an extraterrestrial civilization—and infested with Xenomorphs. This planet would become known as LV-1201.
The Company established a long-term research facility under Dr. Eisenberg to study the planet, the ruins, and the Aliens.
Biography
Edit
Dr. Eisenberg was the only survivor of a disastrous first expedition to LV-1201; when a massive storm cut off his outpost's security systems and communications, he was forced to kill and eat his colleagues. He suffered severe acid burns during a rescue attempt.
Because of that event, Eisenberg harbors a deep hatred—and a paralyzing fear—of Aliens.
In the campaign he appears briefly until a whole cutscene reveals his phobia of the Aliens. He is eventually killed by The Alien in the "Freedom". Eisenberg is then cocooned within the hive and revealed to be an android his fate is still left unknown.
Spoilers
Edit
He suffered severe acid burns during a rescue attempt; as the game progresses, it is revealed that he only "survived" because his father, a major figure in the synthetic human research industry, was able to port his consciousness into an identical android body.
The fact that he is an android is not known from the start, but rather learned from a few data files in the game, along with the fact that he emits no pheromones (from the player Alien's perspective), similar to the Combat Synthetics. He is captured by the playable Alien character, possibly because he threatened the Empress.
Despite being a Synthetic, Eisenberg has the same amount of health as a normal human, so a headbite, pounce, claw or a well-aimed tail would be enough to kill him instantly.
