Template:Infobox Director David Andrew Leo Fincher (born August 28, 1962) is an American film director and producer who directed the 1992 film Alien3. Alien3 was Fincher's debut feature film. Other notable films he has directed include Se7en (1995), Fight Club (1999), The Social Network (2010) and Gone Girl (2014).
Fincher has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Director (for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Social Network) and has won a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA. For his work on Alien3, he was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Director. However, owing to studio interference, Fincher found the production — his feature film debut — to be an incredibly traumatic experience and he has since disowned the film.
