The Crusher Xenomorph is a new alien set to appear in Aliens: Colonial Marines. Its crest is referred to as bull-like and said to be completely bulletproof, similar to a Defender's. It is not yet known what kind of host this type of Xenomorph emerges from. Although their appearance suggest a bull or something similar, it is quite possible they are a type of evolved Warrior like Razor Claws.

"While outside the rainy gloom we spy a new variation of Xenomorph in the Rainy Gloom. The bull-headed mutation sounds like a particularly nasty foe. 'You can't take him on head on,' Martel says, 'Most of the weapons won't work on him, so you'll have to find a new way. That's really great in co-op and it makes you really think it single-player.' Gearbox is working Closely with fox to expand the roster of enemies, so you won't be facing the same [warrior] types we've all seen before."-GameinFormer, issue 220, page 50.
Abilities
The standard abilities of any adult Xenomorph presumably, however it's one defining feature is it's bulletproof crest that repels most weapons. It also charges at it's prey and presumably this is an exploitable weakness as only the crest is said to be bulletproof. Once it charges and misses, its body will be vunerable.
Appearance
The Alien variant is jet black rather than gray like a Drone or Blue-Black/Brown like a Warrior. It's head, claws and hind-quarters are tinged with gold however.
Trivia
- The above conversation suggest the Crusher Xeno is a single individual, rather than a variation seen more than once. It's referred to a "he" and "him" as opposed to "them" and "they" and "Xenomorph" as opposed "Xenomorphs".
- The Crusher is proof that having a crest doesn't automatically make a Xenomorph a Praetorian.
- In some interviews, it has been called a charger, which is most likely due to it's behavior of charging after prey.
