Charlize Theron (born August 7, 1975) is an Academy Award-winning South African-born American actress, producer and fashion model who played Meredith Vickers in the 2012 film Prometheus. other notable films Theron has appeared in include The Devil's Advocate (1997), The Cider House Rules (1999), Monster (2003) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015).
Theron has won an Academy Award for Best Actress (from Monster) and has been nominated for a further one (the same Academy Award for North Country). She has also won a Golden Globe and been nominated for a further two Golden Globes, an Emmy and two BAFTAs. In recent years, she has moved into the field of producing, both in television and film.
