Walter Charles Dance OBE (born October 10, 1946), known professionally as Charles Dance, is an English actor, screenwriter and film director who played Clemens in the 1992 film Alien3. Other notable films Dance has appeared in include Last Action Hero (1993), Gosford Park (2001) and The Imitation Game (2014). Aside from his work in film, Dance has had an extensive career in British television. He is perhaps best known for his role as Tywin Lannister in the television series Game of Thrones (2011-2015).
Dance has been nominated for an Emmy and a BAFTA.
