"Treat a queen like a whore, and a whore like a queen, you can't go wrong."
Frank (from Alien3 Special Edition)

Carl Ellis,[1] better known as "Frank", was an inmate at the Fiorina "Fury" 161 Class C Work Correctional Unit, one of several who stayed behind after the facility was officially closed down by Weyland-Yutani. He was involved in battling a lone Xenomorph that was born in the prison in 2179.

Frank was attacked and killed whilst spreading quinitricetyline in the prison's ventilation ducts as part of a plan to the Xenomorph in an unused nuclear waste containment tank.

Biography

Early life

Frank was serving a twenty-year sentence on Fiorina 161 for murder.[1]

Xenomorph incident

When Ellen Ripley's EEV crashed on Fiorina 161, Frank was among those who responded, climbing inside and discovering that Ripley was still alive, as well as finding the bodies of Rebecca Jorden and Turk (mistaken at the time for Corporal Hicks).

Frank later took part in the plan to burn the Dragon out of the prison's ventilation shafts using quinitricetyline. While inside the vents, he dropped his detonator — which he had been carelessly carrying between his teeth — almost triggering the explosion early. Fortunately, it landed on a ledge without firing. However, after he recovered it, he was attacked from above by the Dragon, and as the Xenomorph killed him his detonator fell to the floor, this time triggering a catastrophic chain reaction that resulted in the deaths of many other prisoners.

Special Edition

In the Special Edition, Frank and Murphy dragged Babe into the prison's abattoir after her death, planning to return later and cut her up for meat for the prisoners. Unknown to them, the Dragon was gestating inside the dead ox at the time.

Personality and Traits

"I'd be happy to kiss her ass. I'd be happy to kiss her anywhere she wants!"
Frank to Murphy, regarding Ripley (from Alien3 Special Edition)

Frank was a lewd man, and following Ripley's arrival spent much time discussing what he would do if he found himself alone with her.[4] Judging by the way he carried an explosive detonator between his teeth when painting quinitricetyline into the prison's vents, he also appeared to be an incredibly reckless individual.
