Barnes is one of the mechanics in the Prometheus ship.

He is in the hangar bay along with Wallace and many others when the mutated Fifield attacks it.

Barnes opens the main hangar bay doors when ordered to do so by the first mechanic who fell victim to the mutant. He is among those killed when the mutated Fifield goes berserk.
