Bapty & Co., often shortened to Bapty,[1] is a British prop house[2] that supplies historic and modern weaponry for films, television and theatre.[1] Bapty has worked on numerous films, including Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), Mission: Impossible (1996), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001),[3] The Dark Knight (2008),[4] Kick Ass (2010), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).[5] Bapty has also worked on numerous television programs, such as Doctor Who and Sherlock.[4]

Bapty has an extensive stock of weapons, ranging from muskets to modern assault rifles and handguns.[1] Alongside their selection of firearms, they also have a large collection of period weaponry, including swords, polearms, spears, daggers, bows, crossbows, shields and military props.[1]

Bapty & Co. worked on Aliens,[3] for which many of the fictional weapons were cosntructed by the company's then-lead armorer, Simon Atherton.[6]
