Antarctica is one of seven continents on the planet Earth. It's located at the southern pole of the planet and has consistently sub zero temperatures. After several expeditions over the centuries, it was known to at least have one com station there that the NostromoTemplate:'s crew tried to make contact with mistaking that they were awoken near Earth in 2122. There was also a city that was located on the continent in the 2190's, which also had a xenomorph infestation take over the city.
