Added by SpaceWuss"Advent/Terminus" was first collected alongside a number of other DHP Aliens stories published up until that point in the special single-issue release Dark Horse Presents: Aliens Platinum Edition in April 1992. The story was eventually again collected alongside other Aliens comics in Aliens Omnibus: Volume 3, published in March 2008.
In the Aliens comics line, during their initial release Aliens: Advent/Terminus were published concurrently with Aliens: Earth War (June-Oct. 1990) and Aliens: Countdown (Sept. 1990-Dec. 1991), and were followed by Aliens: Reapers (April 1991).

Added by SpaceWuss- Dark Horse comics premiere anthology presents in this issue the beginning of a two-part Aliens saga, by Heartbreakers co-creator Paul Guinan!
- Paul Guinan's all-new Aliens tale of an extraterrestrial treasure hunting expedition concludes as a vengeance-crazed cyborg leads them in a fight for survival.
Plot
Edit
The story features a wealthy neophyte explorer on hard times, his sex-synth, his mercenary bodyguard and a story-hungry freelance news reporter who encounter Aliens during an expedition into an Egyptian-style Alien tomb with poignant results.
Behind the Scenes
Edit
The basic story of Aliens: Advent/Terminus would, decades later, end up being somewhat similar to the story of the eventual AVP film in 2004 in some ways.
Comics creators Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett were husband and wife. Guinan had also worked as an actor and Bennett would eventually become an editor at Dark Horse Comics, for a time on their Star Wars line.
Guinan would go on to become one of the main artists/creators on the sprawling, year-long Aliens: Colonial Marines series from 1993-1994. (Actually, amidst almost constant creative-team shake-ups on the faltering series, Guinan was probably the most consistent creator on the book. Serving variously as artist, plotter, writer, inker and concept designer.)
