AVP3 was a 2007 script draft for a sequel to Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, written by Liam O'Donnell.[1] Unlike the first two Alien vs. Predator films, the story would have been set in the future, and followed a conflict between humans, Aliens and Predators in Africa. Following the poor reception to Requiem, 20th Century Fox elected not to pursue a third film in the franchise.

Plot[]

Two decades after the destruction of Gunnison, Colorado, the world has changed dramatically. Global warming has heated the planet and led to the melting of the polar ice caps, which in turn has raised sea levels and drastically reduced the available land mass, leading to overpopulation. Instead of individual nations, global society has moved towards a unified federation largely controlled by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

Having reverse-engineered the Predator plasma technology captured in Gunnison, the company has since developed interstellar travel technology, allowing humanity to move out into space and begin colonising other worlds. However, the fuel required for faster-than-light transport is derived from a rare mineral found only in southern Africa, which remains the world's last "free" continent that is not under the control of Weyland-Yutani. As a result, rebels and revolutionaries from all around the globe have flocked there to escape corporate control and resist spreading globalization, and Africa is rife with civil unrest and conflict.

Into this arena, a rag-tag bend of reluctant heroes are introduced — a native South African tribal chief named Kemba, a United Nations peacekeeper named Reena and a rebel leader from the former United Kingdom named Devlin. Devlin runs a rebel training camp near Kembe's village, and the two have an uneasy relationship as a result.
