The Weyland-Yutani AF13 Shotgun is an underbarrel 12-gauge shotgun attachment manufactured for the NSG 23 Assault Rifle and MK221 Tactical Shotgun.
Overview[]
The AF13 Shotgun (likely a copy of Armat's U7 Tac-Shotgun) is a pump action underbarrel 12-gauge shotgun feeding from an 8-shell underbarrel internal tube magazine, providing more stopping power and a short range alternative for the weapon. It can also fire ID16 Incendiary Shells but the tube capacity is reduced to 6 shells.

12-gauge Buckshot Shell: Filled with standard buckshot pellets, deadly at close range.[1]
ID16 Incendiary Shell: Filled with modified buckshot pellets mixed with a mixture of thermite and white phosphorus.[1]
Trivia[]
- The AF13's model in Aliens: Colonial Marines is the same as for the U7 Tac-Shotgun.
- The U7 is unlocked at Marine Level 10 for the NSG 23 Assault Rifle (firing regular shells) and for the MK221 Tactical Shotgun (firing ID16 Incendiary Shells).
- It is unknown what is the purpose of an underbarrel shotgun on another shotgun except using different kind of ammunition at the same time.
